Getting the Power Right
Here’s the thing about these lamps: it’s all a balancing act between voltage and wattage. We build them to handle some serious heat so the plasma arc stays stable. But you have to be careful. If you crank the wattage too high without a wider tube to handle it, the walls are going to fail. It’s a mess you don’t want. Just make sure your ballast settings match the lamp’s rated voltage. If they don’t, you’ll deal with annoying flickering or, worse, a lamp that burns out way too soon.

We use high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because it doesn’t soak up the UV light. You want every bit of that energy hitting your substrate, not getting trapped in the glass. One thing to keep in mind: these aren’t “instant-on” lights. They need a moment to warm up while the halide mixture vaporizes. You’ll want a timed trigger in your system so the process doesn’t start until the lamp is actually hitting full intensity.
Building Your Own Brand
If you’re launching your own UV line, you need more than a fancy logo on a cardboard box. You need the guts to be reliable. That’s where we come in. You tell us the wavelength you need and the dimensions you’re working with, and we’ll handle the gas filling and the sealing. We can even tweak the iodide concentration to shift the peak emission.
